No. 19 (2025): Faith and Conflict Resolution

This nineteenth issue of Religions Journal offers an in-depth study on the relationship between religion and conflict resolution, bringing together diverse perspectives and research that highlight the role of religions in promoting peace, justice, reconciliation, and coexistence in various societies.

The issue includes:

  • Arabic studies that address the role of religion in confronting conflicts, preventing their occurrence, building peace, and guiding disagreements, in addition to a review of the book The Covenants and Treaties of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with Non-Muslims.

  • English studies discussing various topics such as: the potential of religions in building peaceful societies, the Islamic perspective on the law of armed conflict, teaching faith and conflict resolution in universities, effective giving as a tool to reduce religious conflicts, the intersection of political and religious dimensions in mediation, patterns of conflict resolution in early Islam, the values of justice and mercy in Islam, and case studies from sub-Saharan Africa and Georgia.

  • Book reviews that enrich the issue’s theme, most notably a review of The Covenants of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and a review of the book Spiritual Purification in Islam: The Life and Work of al-Harith al-Muhasibi.

Alongside these valuable research contributions, this issue reflects the magazine’s ongoing commitment to promoting interfaith dialogue and peacebuilding studies. The editorial board also announces upcoming updates to its publication policies in line with the latest global academic standards.

With this edition, we reaffirm our commitment to presenting rigorous and impactful research that contributes to spreading a culture of dialogue, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among religions and cultures.
