Publication Ethics

Religions Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity in academic publishing. All parties involved in the publication process – authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher – must adhere to the following ethical guidelines:

1. Duties of Authors

  • Authors must ensure their work is original and has not been published elsewhere.

  • All sources must be properly cited.

  • Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.

  • Authors must declare any conflicts of interest.

  • In cases of multiple authorship, all co-authors must agree to the submitted version and be appropriately credited.

  • If an error is discovered post-publication, authors must promptly inform the journal to issue a correction or retraction.

2. Duties of Editors

  • Editors must ensure a fair and unbiased review process.

  • Editorial decisions should be based on academic merit and journal scope.

  • Editors must maintain confidentiality and avoid conflicts of interest.

  • Editors should take appropriate action in cases of ethical misconduct.

3. Duties of Reviewers

  • Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and provide objective and constructive feedback.

  • Reviewers should disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

  • Reviews should be completed within the agreed timeframe.

4. Plagiarism and Misconduct

  • All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using reliable tools.

  • Suspected cases of plagiarism or misconduct will be investigated and acted upon in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

5. Retractions and Corrections

  • The journal reserves the right to retract or correct published articles when necessary to maintain academic integrity.
